Iberian ham is a unique product in the world and of great importance in the culinary culture of Andalusia. In this activity we will show firsthand all the secrets and particularities that surround the Iberian ham world in Spain in general, and Andalusia in particular.
Iberian ham is so deeply present in the local social life that there´s not a single important event without this delicacy. In fact, the quality and quantity of the Iberian ham served in your wedding, to mention a sample of a big social event, may make it memorable and unforgettable for your guests, both positive and negative way.
This is what I would love you to experiment beyond a “usual and simple taste” of ham. As it is part of our current traditions and memories, so it will part of yours as well.

We will deeply learn about:
- What Iberian ham is and what makes it the one of a kind.
- Production areas.
Identification of the different categories of Iberian ham.
Parts of the ham and cutting techniques for each one.
Curiosities about how important Iberian ham is for the Spaniards beyond just a food product.
Lasting: 2 hours and a half.
Morning suggested timing: 11:00 – 13:30 (we can adapt to your program upon request if there´s availability).
Afternoon suggested timing: 17:30 – 20:00 (we can adapt to your program upon request if there´s availability).
LEARNING THE DIFFERENT QUALITIES BY TESTING:
- 100% Iberian pork ham and 100% free range acorn fed.
- 50% Iberian pork ham and farm raced.
- Serrano ham.
IT WILL ALSO INCLUDE...
- A warm tapa prepared with Iberian ham as main ingredient in combination with EVOO: “crostini” with ham, tomato, and olive oil.
- Sordough bread and breadsticks for the tasting.
- Drinks: water, red wine, white wine, beer.
